Washing Machine Main Control Board

My GE GTWN4250D1WS will not spin and drain during a regular cycle. If I put it on Drain & Spin it will drain and spin as normal. I purchased a main control board, WH12X10614 and installed it. I turn it on and it over filled the machine.
I put it on Drain and Spin, and it drained and spun. Again, it repeated first problem. I put original board in and it will work through the cycle until the drain and spin then as with both boards, it will not drain and spin on any cycle.
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
